Following successful seminars in Tauranga, Dunedin, Christchurch, Invercargill, Manurewa and Northland, our next event is in Levin.
ISRAEL, ANTISEMITISM AND CIVILIZATIONAL COLLAPSE
Saturday, 10 May 2025, Levin
Supported by
biblical and historical perspectives
an all day seminar
Is there a connection between the global surge in ancient Jew hatred and the assault on foundational civilizational values?
Is it really true that Israel is “a white European coloniser, guilty of occupation, apartheid, ethnic cleansing and genocide against the indigenous Palestinians”?
What does the Bible teach concerning Israel past, present and future, and how should antisemitism be understood?
How do Israel’s evangelical enemies argue their case and how should we respond?
Dr Sheree Trotter earned a PhD in History from University of Auckland with a thesis on Zionism. She will unpack many of the competing claims concerning the ongoing conflict and will address some of its historical and geo-political context. Sheree will examine the role of academia and media in the surge in antisemitism, and offer an indigenous perspective. She is Māori (Te Arawa).
Sheree co-founded Holocaust and Antisemitism Foundation, for whom she has interviewed seventy Holocaust survivors. She completed an Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy scholars-in-residence course at Oxford.
She co-founded the Indigenous Embassy Jerusalem and recently convened an academic symposium in Jerusalem. Algemeiner named Sheree in their J100, “Top 100 People Positively Influencing Jewish Life, 2024”. Christian Allies Foundation listed her in their “Top 50 Christian Allies”.
Perry Trotter is a Bible teacher. He will address the assault on Judeo-Christian values, its relationship to antisemitism, and other relevant questions: Does the Bible explain why the issue of Israel is so divisive? Has the church replaced Israel, making her irrelevant? What should be our response to the surge in antisemitism?
Perry is the author of Israel in the Biblical Worldview, a book endorsed by a number of international scholars. He has experience in refuting replacement theology and Christian anti-Zionism.
Perry is also a media producer whose work on the Holocaust has been shown in Berlin, Dubai, and Australia. His travelling exhibitions have been shown in museums and public spaces throughout NZ.
